Abstract

Rectangular patch antenna is designed in this paper. In this antenna, air is acting as a substrate between the patch and ground. The patch and the ground is made up of a copper sheet of thickness 0.2 mm. The dimension of the microstrip patch and ground is 148.5 mm × 147 mm and 155 mm × 159 mm, respectively. The air gap between the patch and substrate is 5 mm. This antenna resonates at 908 MHz. The antenna is designed for Machine-to-Machine (M2M) RFID application. The simulation and optimization are done in CST software and different parameters like reflection coefficient, radiation pattern and VSWR and Gain are analyzed.
