Abstract
Innovation ecosystems and their prosperity have drawn increasing interest in research and practice. Through a literature review, diversity in terms of the types of collaborators and the nature of interactions are identified as key ingredients for innovation ecosystems to thrive. Co-creation practices and culture help coping with inherent, added complexities in the collaboration among actors and create more sustainable, mutually beneficial value for all stakeholders in the ecosystems.
