Abstract
Invasive fungal infections of the orbit are of two types: acute fulminant and chronic invasive. Orbital fungal infections have intracranial extensions in immunocompromised patients, and are rare and difficult to diagnose; they pose challenges in the management, and are often fatal. They arise from two types of fungal infections, zygomycosis and aspergillosis. Given their poor prognoses, early detection becomes one of the key strategies to the management.
