Abstract

Chyluria is a urological manifestation of lymphatic system disease. Chyle refluxs into the urinary tract through the perirenal lymphatic vessels, producing milk white or rice water like urine [1]. Occasionally, chyluria and hematuria may occur simultaneously due to concurrent vascular disease. Chyluria can present in any age, it is most common in middle aged patients. The symptoms of chyluria can be exacerbated after fatigue, catching cold, vigorous activity or high-fat diet. Chyluria can also be caused by either parasite or non-parasite disease [2, 3]. Filariasis is the most common parasite disease causing chyluria, which can occur along the urinary tract [4]. Non-parasite diseases causing chyluria is uncommon, which include tuberculosis and malignant tumor disease. These diseases extensively invade retroperitoneal lymphatic system [5].
