Abstract
Spectral sensitivity is an important parameter reflecting spectral response for an imaging system. In order to study the effect of different types of optical lenses on the spectral characteristics of an imaging system, a monochromator was used to measure the spectral sensitivity function of a black-and-white industrial camera under three different lenses. The experimental results show that spectral sensitivity curves for a digital camera with three different lenses are different, and the average root-mean-square error between spectral sensitivity curves with different lenses was 0.061, which was about 7.7 times larger than that of the measurement error. This shows that the optical lens had a significant effect on the spectral characteristics of an imaging system.
