Abstract
Humor is both ambiguous and complex making it difficult for managers to intentionally use. This Chapter provides the conditions/prerequisites along with recommendations on how managers can use humor effectively at work to bring about positive emotional reactions in employees. The Chapter also provides a future research agenda on humor in the workplace.
