Abstract
In this paper, an ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) using stepped impedance resonators and defected ground structure (DGS) with fractional bandwidth 119% is proposed. The design is based on stepped impedance resonators (SIR) with DGS. The frequency response shows three transmission poles in the passband and the frequency range of the passband is 2.76–10.97 GHz. The return loss of the proposed filter is more than 15 dB and the insertion loss is less than 1.1 dB. The filter is simple and small in size.
