Abstract
Radiotherapy alone is the standard care of treatment for early disease of the larynx and hypopharynx. Similarly, cisplatin-based chemoradiation is an established treatment strategy for organ preservation in select moderately advanced lesions [1–4]. However, nearly 40% of cases are diagnosed with residual or recurrent locoregional disease after chemoradiation [5].
