Abstract

This chapter presents design, analysis and characteristics of various microwave limiter circuits. Both open- and closed-loop-type limiters based on p-i-n diodes, Schottky barrier diodes and transistors are discussed. Complete design, analysis and application of a closed-loop-limiter system with temperature compensation mechanism is presented for microwave systems.
