Abstract

Kazakhstan is an active participant of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. For Kazakhstan, with its extreme dependence on natural resources, the development of its transit potential is viewed as a real opportunity to diversify the economy of the country. The article analyzes the opportunities and risks for Kazakhstan’s participation in the initiative: positive aspects of cooperation and challenges to its practical implementation. The issues of interaction and mutual enrichment of cultures in the framework of BRI will also be analyzed in the article.
