Abstract
Nowadays, security of data has become the most sought-after issue worldwide. It is necessary to secure data while passing from one entity to another. Image steganography is an effective technique that enables the sender and receiver to exchange confidential information by embedding it in images. In this research paper, we have implemented a secure steganographic mechanism using a pre-shared password to fulfill the above requirements. This mechanism provides a greater level of security while maintaining the visual quality and size of the image. The proposed mechanism is implemented using MATLAB.
