Abstract

This paper discusses the design of the Waterfront Retaining Wall for Cooling Water (CW) Intake Pump system for Jimah East Power Plant. The Waterfront Retaining Wall is located both sides of CW Intake Pump Station. The design includes detail study of site geology and land reclamation, ground treatment by Deep Cement Mixing (DCM) with Jet Grout Piles (JGP), Retaining wall concept and Soil-structure interaction analysis by Plaxis 2D. Also, this paper addresses construction issues and monitoring data in order to present a complete case study.
