Abstract

The conclusion draws together the transformative process of the second-generation migrant women’s lives and provides a final affirmation that ambivalence is a place where creativity and connection can reside. Living life from the perspective of being in-between encouraged the women to undertake the journey of exploring their identity and relationships and opened spaces for new understandings. Mallman offers a positive outlook on the experiences of second-generation migrants who have had limited interaction with their cultural heritage but who desire to establish deeper connections and find their place in their family story.
