Abstract
This research focuses on developing a hand gesture-based quadcopter which facilitates an easier flying of quadcopter for anyone. Most of the quadcopters are either controlled by Radio Controlled (RC) remotely for manned vehicles or autonomously for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). The work we developed is a manned aircraft which is either operated by RC remote control or wearable-based control wirelessly. Previously, many technologies have been developed with gesture-based systems for quadcopters but failed in achieving stable, flexible, and secure systems. The main objective of this work is to design a hand gesture-based quadcopter that replaces RC remote control and to develop a stable, secure quadcopter system. Gesture word itself implies the operation of quad using hand gestures without the help of remote. To operate a quad, one should possess prior knowledge in operating aircraft or mini quads as a small mishandling in control can lead to a disaster mainly for newbies (damage to components and to human). Hence, a hand gesture-based quadcopter will help to avoid these problems by controlling the quadcopter easily with just hand movements and by maintaining proper stability throughout the flight.
