Abstract

An 89-year-old male presented with hypercalcemia during a follow-up checkup after colectomy for colon cancer. He had no symptoms, but primary hyperparathyroidism due to parathyroid adenoma was suspected based on the results of blood tests and computed tomography (CT) and ultrasound (US) scans. Resection of the right lower parathyroid gland and a partial thyroidectomy were performed.
