Circumflex Scapular Artery Perforator Flap
The circumflex scapular artery perforator flap is an axial flap with the trilateral space perforator of circumflex scapular vessel as its vascular pedicle. This flap was first reported by Gilbert in 1979. Nassife introduced the applied anatomy of combined scapular/parascapular bilobar flap in 1982, which was used to repair huge leg defect by Koshima and Soeda in 1985, and also to repair the high-voltage electric burn of upper limb by Cerkes. Angriginant used expanded scapular flap to repair cervical contracture in 1994.
