Abstract
This paper presents a microstrip dual patch antenna analysis printed on uniaxial anisotropic substrates suitable for wireless applications in the WLAN band. The influence of anisotropy on return losses, gain and directivity were investigated for the two first resonance frequencies but could be extended for certain values of permittivity tensor to the other superior order resonances. Simulated results show that the antenna characteristics can be significantly improved by using an anisotropic substrate with a good impedance bandwidth.
