Abstract

Recently, the concept of peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) also has been used in the pylorus of the stomach for treatment of gastroparesis (GP), and this procedure is called as gastric POEM (G-POEM), endoscopic pyloromyotomy, or peroral pyloromyotomy (POP) (Chung and Khashab, Clin Endosc 51:28–32, 2018). This chapter describes the current application and clinical outcomes of G-POEM for the treatment of refractory GP.
