Abstract

In this chapter various abnormalities of the placenta are discussed with illustrations such as abnormal adherence of placenta, infections, maternal and fetal circulatory disorders, and tumours of placenta. The gross abnormalities, histopathology features along with clinical significance of these lesions are mentioned with microphotographs.
