Abstract

East Asia is a sub-region of Asia that can be defined in both geographical and cultural terms historically. According to historical records, East Asian countries primarily include China, Korea (both Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Republic of Korea today), Japan and Vietnam (Socialist Republic of Vietnam today).
