Abstract

The concepts of praxis and exegesis are explored within the context of lifelong learning in the form of an interactive model. It is argued that understanding of this interaction is central to effective teaching and learning. The author provides an example of autoethnographic research in placing herself and her experience into the model, underpinned by her emotional intelligence. The content of the chapter contributes to the development of a Praxis-Exegesis conceptual model, incorporating Emotional Intelligence as a means of increasing levels of professional success.
