Risk-Based Engineering

Part of the book series: Springer Series in Reliability Engineering ((RELIABILITY))

Abstract

It is not be exaggeration to say that the adequacy and applicability of risk-based methods to a large extent depends on the accurate characterization of not only risk metrics but also associated uncertainties.

In this world of uncertainty, death is certain and the fear is apparent.

Srimad Bhagavada Gita
