Abstract
Insects are most diverse and successful group of all organisms. They occur in different habitats and most adaptable. They cover almost 80% of the entire world fauna. Majority of insects are either beneficial or not harmful. Remaining less than 1% insects are harmful as pests and vectors. These 1% give bad name to insects causing economic losses to crop yield and health hazards. Present book covers life cycle, nature of damage and control of measures of different pest species with an additional chapter containing the basics of pest management.
