Abstract

This paper focuses on the design of an elliptical planar dipole antenna with excellent harmonic suppression for wireless power transfer applications (WPT). The proposed antenna operates in the GSM 900 frequency bands. The simulation results show 10 dB bandwidth of 133 MHz stretching from 843 to 976 MHz. The fundamental frequency is at 900 MHz with return loss 32 dB. The antenna performance for variation in slots’ location and dimension is simulated and studied using CST Microwave Studio.
