Abstract
Awareness of the problem of dysphagia across the patient population is on the ascent. Diagnosis of dysphagia begins with suspecting its presence. Swallowing disorders affect quality of life by affecting general health, psychological well-being, and financial stability. Diagnosis of dysphagia begins with suspecting its presence. There lies the importance of early screening and interventions with the help of a swallowing clinic. In this chapter, we will discuss the patients, personnel who deal with swallowing problems, paraphernalia for evaluation, and a definite protocol to deal with this problem.
