Abstract

In the past few years, information and technology has transformed the education industry. Percolation of information and communication technology (ICT) has eventually changed the educational scenario. From e-learning to schools built in the cloud, educational institutions are picking up the pace. To serve the demand of accessing learning contents from Internet-able devices like smartphones, desktops, and laptops, IT premises are expanding their on-premises software with software delivered over the Internet called as cloud computing. Cloud computing popularly known as the Internet-based computing has been an aid to IT industry and holds a promising future for the educational sector. The objective of this paper is to propose a cloud-based education management system (EMS) model which would facilitate educational actor to overcome the conventional teaching pedagogy. To validate the proposed framework, prototype model is deployed in the public cloud platform and demonstrated in the education management system.
