Abstract

An embedded intelligent video processing system based on TI TMS320DM368 processor and cloud service is designed and demonstrated in this paper. The proposed system can be used for video image acquisition, pre-processing, compression and etc. For different video applications, the system can request corresponding video analysis functions to the cloud server and perform proper operations based on the return values. The whole system includes five parts: the core TMS320DM368 processing module, video capture and display module, storage module, network communication module and USB interface module with wireless network extension function. The Linux operating system transplantation and driver development is fulfilled. And a framework of the face recognition system based on the cloud service is proposed.
