Abstract

As the issues of energy security, environmental degradation and traffic jam becoming more prominent, the rail transit is experiencing an unprecedented prosperity. However, rail transit is a special load system with “four-non” features which can cause the decline in power quality of grid, so it is more important to solve the power quality problems. In this paper, the basic structure of the public power grid and the power supply system of rail transit are introduced firstly. The types and characteristics of main loads are summarized, and the influence factors and potential hazards of the power quality problems are analyzed entirely. Finally, some solutions are proposed to solve each kind of power quality problems.
