Abstract
A 43-year-old male with hypertension and poorly controlled DM (HbA1c 13.5%) presented to our hospital. According to his family, he worked in China and suffered from fever with progressive protrusion of his left eye. He had several episodes of myoclonic seizures beginning 10 days ago. During that time, he was brought to a hospital in China, where a CNS infection was suspected. Laboratory data showed leukocytosis with elevated CRP. However, CSF and eye swab culture were negative, and he was referred to our hospital.
