Abstract

The retrieval of semantically equivalent information from various databases having internationalization feature is a major challenge for the data scientists. The criticality of this problem revolves around translation of the query in the native language into some target language despite the structural differences of the schema. The metadata generated and maintained by any relational database technology offers a scope for realizing such a seamless mapping with the help of industry offered translators. This paper proposes a model with such a capability and demonstrates the equivalence of forward and backward translations across various languages using WordNet, Microsoft Translator tools while presenting the results.
