Abstract
Control of nonlinear dynamical systems preceded by some non-smooth nonlinearities such as dead-zone, saturation, and backlash in the actuator has received much attention among the research area due to the diverse applications of mechanical systems in real-life. These non-smooth nonlinearities in actuators may degrade the performance of control system in practical control systems, and should be handled in the control design.
