Abstract

Psychiatric genetics is a new and promising field that may reveal what genetic variants are responsible for the development of a psychiatric disorder and enable customization of drug treatment for patients with various disorders, including addiction. As discussed in previous chapters, significant progress has been made in almost every area of nicotine addiction research. However, many challenges remain. This chapter provides a list of these challenges and ways for us to attack them.
