Overview of Development of NPP Advanced Main Control Room Console

Abstract

The development of advanced Main Control Room (MCR) console of the Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in the world is overviewed, and the brief introduction of corresponding techniques used in the various NPP MCR consoles is given. The design input and output of procedure and demands, methods of the design research of advanced main control room are issued in detail, especially for the MCR console, which is to be incorporated in the new generation of Chinese nuclear power plant with computerized reactor, control system, protection system, Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) display and soft operation. The results of the comparison of MCR technology can provide a reference for the MCR console development trend.
