Protein-Protein and Domain-Domain Interactions

Abstract

Protein-protein complexes provide valuable atomic level insights for bio-molecular function. Hundreds of high-resolution (< 3 Å) X-ray structural complexes are available at the protein data bank (PDB). However, there are also a large number (over 2000) of low-resolution (> = 3 Å) structural complexes at the PDB as of June 2017. The biological insights provided by such structural complexes are invaluable in biological knowledge discovery. Therefore, it is of interest to document such information in this chapter.
