Abstract

The purpose of this general introduction is to position the reader on what to expect from the book before embracing the goal of the book. In order to understand the necessity of the book it is vital for the reader to be thoroughly familiar with the biological and clinical relevance of the enzyme, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH). Hence, with minimal overview, this prelude will outline the current knowledge on GAPDH.
