The Chronicler’s Rune

  • June Gwee

In this chapter, the author explains a case writer’s craft through the Chronicler’s Rune, a symbol comprising the letter ‘C’ for chronicler, ‘S’ for style, ‘L’ for linguistics and ‘V’ for voice. Based on the principle that a storyteller is only as good as his/her craft, the author explains these elements with examples on writing style, voice, grammar, syntax and semantics, in layman terms, which will also benefit non-native English writers. There is also a section on how to obtain permissions from stakeholders to release and publish case studies.
