Effectuation of Renewable Energy as an Effective Mitigation Approach Towards Climate Change

Abstract

Energy has always been an integral part of human existence. The need of energy is never diminishing. Man has to carry out innumerable processes to convert this energy into useful work. But at what cost? These processes are leading to an adverse and prolonged effect on our environment resulting in climate change. Climate change is a change in the environment pertaining for a longer duration of time, say a century largely due to anthropogenic activities. Climate change is leading to an increment of average temperature of earth or change in annual precipitation. This in turn might lead to short-term and long-term impacts on our lives. The study involves amalgamation of current scenario and futuristic approach adhered by the various sectors like power, across various governmental sectors pertaining to energy intensive industries, also private sectors are enforcing policies to mitigate climate change. Specific approach to mitigate was quantified taken by government and private organizations. At the end, the approach is analysed on the basis of various aspects to be declared as beneficial or susceptible for certain duration of time.
