Materials Selection

Chapter
Part of the SpringerBriefs in Materials book series (BRIEFSMATERIALS)

Abstract

Materials selection is an activity normally carried out design engineers to select the best materials for a particular component. To select the most suitable composite materials, a materials selection system is used to the candidate materials from different types of composite materials that are satisfying all the materials selection requirements, such as strength, stiffness, cost and aesthetics.
