Abstract
In order to analyze the influence of the shape of Halbach-array permanent magnet (PM) on the transmission performance and electromagnetic characteristics of coupler, the vector magnetic potential method is used to solve the vector magnetic potential of each part of the coupler. In this way, the formula of magnetic flux density and the electromagnetic torque are obtained by the three-dimensional correction factor. The air-gap magnetic flux density and electromagnetic torque with different dimension parameters of PM are obtained by finite-element method (FEM). Moreover, The relationship between the self shielding effect and the dimension parameters of the PM is obtained. The results indicate that the analytically result agrees well with those obtained by the FEM.
