Abstract
The design of experiments is the design of any task that aims to explain the variation of information under conditions that are hypothesized to reflect the variation, fractional factorial experiment is the most widely used experiment method in design of experiment, experiment data is processed through ANOVA usually, thus pointed out whether the factors are significant. We proposed that decomposed the sum of squares into two parts, the first part was from the factor, the second part was from the error, the rest part that deducted the first part from the total sum of squares is pure sum of squares, the percentage of pure sum of squares to total sum of squares is the influence that factors to experiment result. Through this analysis method, we can lists the factors mostly affecting experiment result quantitatively. Applied the method in mechanical product design factor analysis, the effect of each design factor on the performance function is given quantitatively, so designer could gain more accurate and comprehensive design parameter information. Finally, a case of steam pump liquid cylinder design factor analysis is given to illustrate the methodology.
