Abstract
This chapter features seven full-length lesson plans designed to address the main areas of language arts represented in the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). As with any lesson plan, the activity can be adjusted in any number of ways to accommodate students’ specific needs and developmental levels. Extension activities are provided that may extend the lesson beyond the estimated time allotment; however, these lessons may be modified or extended depending on the needs of your specific students.
