Abstract

For using Lamb wave to test metal plates extensively, Lamb wave dispersion curves [1,2,3,4,5] for the testing of metal plates are studied. A suit of software for drawing Lamb wave dispersion curves specially has been designed though the arithmetic analyzing of symmetrical and asymmetrical modes of Lamb wave frequency characteristic equation, and achieves it by the software of VC++. And the problem of drawing and application for Lamb wave dispersion curves has been resolved. It is fit for metal plates of different materials and types.
