Abstract
This chapter deals with hydrodynamic response of perforated cylinders under regular waves through computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The chapter deals with a brief introduction of fluid–structure interaction and wave–structure interaction. Variations in water particle kinematics along the depth when encountered by perforated members are discussed in detail as they find many recent applications in the retrofitting and rehabilitation of offshore structural members.
