Abstract

This chapter presents a proposal on how China and Russia could cooperate within a globally emerging creative economy . Our research highlights the potential that could be exploited by opening the labor market for high-profile specialists and those who work in knowledge-intensive and creative industries , such as designers, software developers, and media editors. The current states of Russian and Chinese economies, aligned with their mutual political relations, gives an excellent opportunity for deeper integration and fruitful cooperation, although a new legal and fiscal framework needs to be built from a scratch to implement the idea. Apart from obstacles related to legislation, certain technical issues such as language, culture, and geographical location are discussed and possible solutions presented.
