Abstract
Due to the rapid growth in the field of digital media and communication there is a great demand for the copyright protection of multimedia data over internet. In order to address this issue, a robust and efficient watermarking scheme must be used, so as to obtain the ownership of real creator. The proposed watermarking algorithm uses a novel image watermarking technique which is based on Discrete Wavelength Transform (DWT) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). The algorithm consists of Region of interest (ROI), which is the extracted central part of particular dimensions of the cover image. DWT has been applied to the ROI, extracted from the cover image and then SVD is taken for embedding watermark information.The proposed method withstands the various geometric and filtering attacks such as—Cropping, Rotation, Poisson noise, Gaussian noise, etc. Experimental results show the proposed method leads over the existing ones.
