Drug Design: Principles and Applications

Abstract

The absorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination and toxicity (ADMET) are important aspects of drug molecules. This chapter covers the physicochemical properties of drugs, the pH and solubility, and the approaches to improving aqueous solubility as well as the drug metabolism and drug/drug interactions, followed by recent development on databases particularly related to the ADMET profiling and prediction.
