Abstract

  1. 1.

CT and MR both have equal merit for lesions involving tonsil/lateral pharyngeal wall.

  2. 2.

In the case of posterior pharyngeal wall lesions, CT assesses bone invasion of vertebral body better though subtle involvement of prevertebral fascia may be better seen on MR.

  3. 3.

Lesions of the base tongue are best assessed by MR to determine the depth of invasion.

  4. 4.

Post-RT relapses are better assessed using PET-CT.
