Abstract
The MRI scan on the next page shows a tumour arising from the protective membrane covering the brain. Doctors call such thin protective membranes ‘meninges’ and the tumours arising from them ‘meningiomas’. Since these tumours are not located in the brain itself, it is much easier to treat them compared to the treatment of brain tumours that are arising from the brain tissue.
