Abstract

The image on the next page shows an example of blocked paranasal sinuses. Admittedly, the sinuses are not part of the brain itself, but they are situated very close to the brain. Therefore, blocked paranasal sinuses will sometimes result in headache. Partially blocked sinuses are often accidentally found on scans like MRI scans. Many patients do not have any symptoms.
