Let X be a quandle or a rack. By \(C_n^\mathrm{R}(X)\) we denote the free abelian group whose basis is the Cartesian product \(X^n= X \times \cdots \times X\) of n copies of X. When \(n\le 0\), we assume \(C_n^\mathrm{R}(X)=0\).
